Hi! I'm Morten. I build things people actually use, and I keep them running.

Selected work

cphsecuritywait.dk - live security queue times at Copenhagen Airport
Built it in 2022 because I could not find the queue time before a flight. It has run continuously ever since, on live airport data, in Danish and English. I do the whole thing: scraping, database, frontend, hosting and SEO.
35,000+ visitors in July 2026 · 5.8x year on year · 83% of visitors arrive from Google
christiansoefarten.dk - ferry booking for Christiansø
A new site for the ferry to Denmark's easternmost point, launched in 2026. Three languages, live sailing schedules, and the route into their existing booking system rebuilt mobile first.
16,500+ visitors in July 2026 · mobile bookings nearly doubled year on year, same season
Nofipa - gold trading and pawn, Copenhagen
Head of IT. I own the technology: internal automation, the systems the business runs on, security, and our customer-facing sites pantsat.dk and nordiskguld.dk, now also launching in Sweden.
I take on a small number of freelance projects through MDL Consulting. If you need a website that actually brings in customers, reach me on LinkedIn.

I started studying Software Development at the IT-University of Copenhagen, and began my developer journey.

I switched lanes and enrolled in Copenhagen Business School studying Business Administration and IT. However, I couldn't let development go, and I started my first job as a Wordpress and PHP developer at Alinea.

I began teaching Distributed Systems at Copenhagen Business School and I was simultaneously hired as Junior Frontend Developer at Statum (RIP 🪦).

Statum pivoted and had to let me go, but I continued on my path as a developer returned to the IT-University of Copenhagen to do a master's degree in Computer Science. Alongside it I worked part time as a developer at Reepay, then a small Danish fintech, since merged into Billwerk+.

I moved to Sölden, Austria and worked three months as a skiguide. Afterwards I went on exchange to Kyoto University (京都大学) as a part of my master's degree.

I finished my degree, which culminated in a machine learning thesis titled Multilingual Detection of Offensive Speech in Social Media. Immediately after handing in the Thesis, I got a three month project employment as a full stack developer.

In November I joined nofipa, a gold trading and pawn business in Copenhagen, as a developer. It is the kind of place where you wear a lot of hats 🎩

Waiting for a flight to Nice, I could not find out how long the security queue was. So I built cphsecuritywait.dk that weekend. It is still running, and it is now used tens of thousands of times a month.

I became Head of IT at nofipa. I own the technology end to end: the systems the business runs on, internal automation, security, and IT strategy. Today I lead the IT team and am growing it.

I built and launched a new christiansoefarten.dk, the ferry to Christiansø, and started taking selected freelance work through MDL Consulting alongside the day job. Most of my spare energy goes into getting genuinely good at building with AI.
